well, I personally thing this would taste great with chocolate chips! I agree with you, a birthday isn't a birthday without chocolate 😉 the way I'm thinking about it, it should work out like with chocolate chip cookies... the chips would melt but stay separate, you know? I would make sure to coat the chips with flour before adding them though, so they don't all sink to the bottom... and use parchment paper in your pan so it doesn't stick! Another idea could be to make a plain cake but make chocolate frosting? I don't know, whatever sounds best to you. Let me know what you pick! 🙂
