Also, surprisingly, my husband ate a few more without the maple syrup and said he didn't miss it - said the brownies were perfect with coffee and gave him his chocolate fix. Thanks again!

I love the texture - goes perfect with a glass of milk! Upon tasting them, I knew they'd be not quite sweet enough for my husband, but I'm really trying to cut out refined sugars from our diet (along with a ton of other things!)...which is why I was interested in this recipe in the first place. So, I poured a bit of maple syrup on the plate before placing the brownie on it and he LOVED it! I'll try to freeze one and see how it works. I'm trying to find snacks that I can make in advance when I have time to bake, that can be eaten later. Thanks for sharing this recipe!!
