Thank you for your comment! My go-to is Country Crock avocado oil plant butter for baking, but I also recommend Earth Balance or Flora. As far as shortening, my favorites are Spectrum and Nutiva!]]></description>

Are the tops getting burnt or the bottoms? Be sure you’re using parchment paper or a silicone liner on your pan to help the bottoms cook evenly. I wonder if your oven runs hot? Again, I’m really not sure!]]></description>
