vegan pretzel dogs

  • 6 vegan hot dogs {I like Field Roast}
  • 1 lb store-bought pizza dough
  • 2-3 tbsp refined coconut oil, melted
  • 1-2 tbsp coarse or pretzel salt
  • 2 tbsp baking soda
  1. Preheat oven to 450F.
  2. Divide your pizza dough into 6 even pieces, and roll each into a long skinny snake (about 14-16").
  3. Wrap each hotdog with a piece of the dough, making sure to pinch the ends so that the dough does not unravel. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone liner.
  4. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, and add in the baking soda.
  5. Boil each pretzel dog for about 30 seconds, until it floats and the dough appears firm. Repeat with all.
  6. Brush each pretzel dog with some of the melted coconut oil, and sprinkle on the salt.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Enjoy!
