heirloom tomato and burrata pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 ball storebought pizza dough
  • 6-8 oz fresh burrata cheese {more or less to taste} diced
  • 2-3 heirloom tomatoes sliced
  • ΒΌ cup tomato sauce
  • salt and fresh basil for seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 550F {if you have a convection option, definitely use it!}.
  • Lightly oil a round pizza pan, and place your pizza dough inside, lightly pressing the pizza dough towards the edges to cover the whole surface.
  • Spread the tomato sauce on the crust, then cook for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Remove crust from the oven, top with the cheese, sliced tomatoes, basil leaves, and a generous sprinkling of salt. Return to oven for 15-20 minutes, until the bottom of the crust is solid and not soggy, and the top is lightly golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly, then cut and enjoy!
