Hi Donna! Thanks for your comment. I haven&#039;t made these in a long time so I can&#039;t say for sure, but I would think that would be it!!  If you cook sugar for too long, it will start to caramelize and then it will be more hard and crunchy once it cools off. I would be careful to heat the sugar and corn syrup until the sugar is JUST melted and then remove from heat altogether! Hope this helps :)]]></description>
