Thank you for your comment, Mary! I am glad you guys enjoyed the cake. As far as stacking, you must chill the cakes completely before frosting them and putting the cake together! I recommend a good 5-6 hours in the fridge if possible to make your cake sturdy and stable. Hope that helps!

Turned out amazing! My husband says it is the best cake he has ever eaten!
My cakes did fall apart. What is the trick to cutting them in half and keeping them stacked without them breaking? I was able to put them in a pot, put in fridge, and ice the outer layer afterward and it looked good.
