Ingredients

  • 1 batch of homemade pizza dough {recipe link above} or store-bought pizza dough
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3-4 tablespoon baking soda
  • 8 cups water

Instructions

  • First, prepare the pizza/pretzel dough according to directions. Split the ball of dough into 4 equal parts.
  • Flour your work surface well, and grab one of your small dough portions.
  • Roll it out into a long log, and using a rolling pin, flatten it out.
  • Sprinkle mini marshmallows and chocolate chips in the center of the log, then using some water to help, pinch the edges of the dough back together to enclose the filling.
  • Arrange the log in a U shape, cross the tails twice, and bring the tails back down to the center of the U to create a pretzel shape {you can see my image in the post for some guidance!}. Using a little more water, seal the ends of the pretzels together.
  • Repeat to make all your pretzels.
  • Preheat the oven to 500F.
  • In a large pot, bring the 8 cups of water to a boil, and add the baking soda. Boil the pretzels, one at a time, for about 30 seconds on each side, then move to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the pretzels with the melted butter, and sprinkle more marshmallows and chocolate chips on top if you'd like.
  • Bake pretzels in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and toasted. Enjoy warm!
