- Dry mix:
- 1 cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup salted caramel or butterscotch chips
- ½ cup pecan pieces
- Wet ingredients:
- ½ cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
In a large jar (I find quart-size mason jars work well), pour in the sugar, followed by the cocoa, the flour, the salt and baking powder, and finally the chips and pecans.
Seal jar tightly, decorate as desired, and attach a label.
For the label, write the wet ingredients needed and directions: "1. In a medium bowl, dump contents of the jar and mix well. 2. Stir in the eggs and vanilla, followed by the melted butter. 3. Spray an 8x8 baking pan with nonstick spray, and pour in the brownie batter. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350F"
