In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
Add in the butter, and mix it in using your fingertips or a pastry cutter until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add in the milk and vanilla extract, and mix until a dough forms. Place the dough in the fridge while you prepare the fruit.
Preheat the oven to 400F.
In a cast iron skillet, combine the strawberries, peaches, sugar, and orange juice. Turn heat on medium, and cook the fruit mixture, stirring occasionally, until it cooks down to a runny jam consistency.
Drop the dough on top of the fruit mixture in spoonfuls, then place in preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, until the dough is cooked through.
If your crust looks a little white, you can broil the pan for a few minutes to help it become golden brown and delicious!
Serve with ice cream!
