why I picked Basic Invite for my wedding invitations

    Jan 22, 2019 · 9 Comments

This post is a collaboration between myself and Basic Invite. I received free products in exchange for my work. All opinions are my own. #BasicInvite #sponsored

It's time for another wedding update! Next on our list is wedding invitations. I am so in love with my Basic Invite cards and I hope you love them as much as I do!

why I picked Basic Invite for my wedding invitations | The Baking Fairy

Hi friends and happy Tuesday!! We are back on the wedding train, and I am so excited to be sharing my collaboration with Basic Invite today! There is really nothing better as a blogger/influencer than finding a brand you love, and having them love you back and want to do a project together 🙂 So here is the full scoop on my wedding invitations, and why after looking at a million invitation websites (that's what it felt like, anyway) I decided to go with Basic Invite. I am super pumped to show you all the great features they offer, and of course show off my full invite suite because I am obsessed! ?

    Fully customizable EVERYTHING!

My biggest struggle when I was looking for wedding invitations was that I couldn't find anything I liked enough. Like, I liked some invites but not the font, or the colors should've been different, or I wanted the option to add photos and extra information on the card and the option just wasn't there. The #1 reason I went with Basic Invite is because EVERY SINGLE THING on any invitation, RSVP card, save the date, etc is FULLY customizable! You can change the font, color, type of paper, shape of paper, literally anything your heart desires. I fell in love with this Standing Ovation Foil Wedding Invitation but I wasn't feeling the navy color. No problem! I changed the color to Smoothie which is this lovely pale pink and added photos on the back. I love the loopy cursive font but, guess what? I could've easily changed it to one of the dozens of other fonts they offer and given it a whole new look! They also offer FOIL on most of their cards, which can be made gold, silver, or rose gold!

They offer over 900 wedding invitation SETS!

Another thing I super loved about Basic Invite that wasn't always the case with other websites is that you can ALWAYS find a coordinating part! I originally just ordered my save the dates... then decided to go back and order matching invitations and RSVP cards and they matched EXACTLY. And then, last minute, we decided to make Bridal Shower invitations too and guess what... yep. They had those too! Any invite style you fall in love with has a full suite of coordinating cards to go with it! And they also offer different styles for the same purpose. I was torn between a traditional invitation with a separate RSVP card and their new Seal & Send style which is all in one. You can see them both in the photo above, but either choice would have coordinated perfectly with the save the date I had already sent!

    FREE ADDRESS PRINTING!!!

Sorry. I got a little excited ? But if everything else I had said didn't sell you on Basic Invite, this totally should. Because who offers FREE address printing?! And that includes both your return address and your guests addresses. You can even send your guests emails to collect their addresses and it will create your guest list all by itself. And of course - everything is customizable here too, so you can pick whatever fonts you like!

Custom samples - for ANYTHING you want!

If you're scared of committing to 100+ custom invites before seeing them in person {which, I totally get because I was too}, guess what - Basic Invite will send you a sample of anything you create on their website! So if you're torn between different types of paper, designs, fonts, foil vs no foil, you can get to see it in person before you commit! This is awesome because most other websites do not offer this, they just offer a standard "sample pack" with some of their most popular designs in it. Though, worry not, when Basic Invite sends you your custom sample, they also include a booklet with every single invitation color, type of paper, texture and everything else. So maybe you'll fall in love with something unexpected!

    Non-traditional invitations and accessories

I decided to stick with the classics and go for paper invitations, but if you're a bit of a non-traditional bride, Basic Invite offer some cool options, such as these CLEAR invitations! How cool is that?! They also offer wood invitations which are super fun. They also has a whole host of fun accessories you can add to your wedding invitation suite, such as coasters, magnets, and wedding stickers!

    Free Wedding Website

Last but not least - you can use them to build a FREE wedding website! I actually didn't realize this until later and it was a welcome surprise. Of course - it totally matches my invitations 😉 But it's a great extra to add to your invitations so that guests can find your registries, hotel info, directions, and other things that would be helpful for wedding day but don't necessarily want to write ALL on the invite. It's also a place for paperless RSVPs and to shamelessly show off your engagement pics! These all sound like wins to me 😉

I hope you guys found this post helpful! I know planning a wedding can be exhausting {like, trust me. I KNOW.} and hunting down the perfect invitation can be a huge hassle. I fell in love with Basic Invite and I hope you will too! 🙂

I love that we have so many options now and couples can really express their own styles! Not like you couldn't before too, but it's definitely more common now. My mom just about died when I told her my wedding shoes won't be white ? Definitely keep Basic Invite in mind for graduation invites! They have some really cute stuff!

I love these invitations. They didn't have anything like this 30 years ago! Your invitations are absolutely gorgeous and I am going to share with my daughter. She is at the age now where everyone is getting married and I know her friends and she will love these.

This wedding invitation is perfect for the one who does not want extra colors and loves simplicity. I prefer light colors like white, light pink, light blue. I loved the invitation.

Valentina, thank you for sharing this post with us. I am also a lover of simple wedding cards. I think a wedding card should represent our true persona and if we prefer to be simple, so be it! Free address printing and full customisable are some other plusses that make me feel you made a perfect choice about wedding invites.
