    coffee filter fall wreath

    Sep 28, 2013 · Leave a Comment

    Happy Saturday, lovelies! It's finally feeling like fall around here! I'm so pumped. To celebrate, I made this super easy Coffee Filter Fall Wreath... and I'm going to show you how to make your own! I'm in love with how it turned out, and I promise you that it's cheap, fast, and totally simple to make one. So what are we waiting for? Let's get started!

    What you need:
    1 14 inch straw wreath form {with plastic wrap left on}
    brown coffee filters {60-70, so a little more than half a package}
    plain sewing pins
    decorations {I used a floral pick and a little metal sign for the center}

    Step 1. Scrunch and wrinkle up your coffee filters {so they don't look like coffee filters!}
    Step 2. Fold your filter in half, then in half again. You can also fold it in half the first time, and in thirds the second time. Try to add a little variety!
    Step 3. Insert a pin in the base of your coffee filter "flower"
    Step 4. Pin it into your wreath
    Step 5. Repeat, repeat, repeat!

    Looking good! A little plain though, no? You can dress this wreath up as you please! I chose to add an autumnal floral pick with a little pumpkin and corn on the cob, and a metal sign that says "Welcome Friends." Too cute! For the pick, I just found a spot on the wreath, and I simply pushed it into the wreath itself. For the sign, it came with a small ribbon to hang, so I used the sewing pins to attach the ribbon to the wreath. Easy peasy!

    To hang, I just threaded some wide maroon ribbon at the top {I just went around the pins}, and I hooked it on my door. And that's it! This project altogether took me less than an hour, and the total cost was somewhere around $10. Affordable and beautiful! I'm so excited to share this, and I really hope you'll try to make it too. Have fun and be creative! 🙂
