Get ready for the year's biggest football game with some delicious Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken Sliders! These bite-sized sandwiches are the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and totally satisfying.

Hello, dearest readers! The year's biggest football game is fast approaching, and you know what that means... tailgating food! I understand next to nothing about football and plays and strategies, but I like to think of myself as an expert when it comes to the food. Who doesn't love hanging out with loved ones and enjoying all sorts of yummy snacks? Today, I've partnered up with Pepperidge Farm® and Warsteiner Beer to bring you these delicious Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken Sliders, which are perfect for game day!

Burgers and beer might be a classic combination, but chicken sliders and sandwiches with beer aren't far behind! These scrumptious little sliders feature juicy grilled chicken covered in a sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce. I topped them with some classics like mayo, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, and sliced avocado, and they were totally perfect! You get a little bit of everything in every bite.

Before we get to cooking, we need to head over to Kroger and grab all of our game day essentials! Kroger actually has a Game Day Greats site where you can grab coupons for all your football-watching necessities. To build my sliders, I grabbed some of these Pepperidge Farm® Sweet & Soft Slider buns. Just as the name promised, they're unbelievably tender and have just a hint of sweetness, which pairs really well with the honey mustard. Pepperidge Farm buns are guaranteed to make any tailgate meal more delicious! Don't forget to swing by the beer aisle while you're shopping and grab some Warsteiner beer {or your favorite pilsner}.

Bring these grilled honey mustard chicken sliders to your tailgates this year and be the star of the game! A little zesty and a little sweet, these tiny sandwiches pack a big punch. Nobody has to know how easy they are to make, either 😉 Don't forget to check out the Game Day Greats site for lots of valuable savings. Happy tailgating! 🙂

    Ingredients

    • 1 package 12 Pepperidge Farm Sweet & Soft Slider Buns
    • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into tenders
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 2 tomatoes sliced
    • 1 cup lettuce leaves
    • 12 slices provolone cheese
    • 2 avocados sliced
    • ¼ cup mayonnaise
    • *for the honey mustard sauce*
    • 3 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 3 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ½ teaspoon onion powder
    • ¼ teaspoon paprika
    • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon pepper

    Instructions

    • In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the honey mustard sauce. Mix well, and set aside for now.
    • In a large nonstick pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
    • When oil is hot, add in the chicken breast pieces, and season with salt and pepper.
    • Cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes, until chicken starts to look opaque, then flip and cook for 3-4 minutes more. Chicken should be completely white to golden brown, with no pink whatsoever.
    • Remove pan from heat, and pour the prepared honey mustard sauce on top. Toss until all the chicken pieces are evenly coated.
    • Lay out all the Pepperidge Farm slider buns on a serving platter, and open them. Spread some mayo on each bun, and top with some lettuce, tomato slices, and avocado slices.
    • Divide the cooked chicken evenly among the buns, and top each with a slice of provolone cheese. Sandwich the buns together and serve immediately!
