vegan raspberry mango protein smoothie | The Baking Fairy

Hello, lovelies! Today, I am sharing another delicious {vegan} recipe using Sunwarrior protein. Last week, I shared a delicious chocolate protein waffle recipe, and today I'm sharing a protein smoothie! I feel like most people use protein powder in shakes and smoothies, so this is a delicious new way to enjoy vegan protein goodness with the addition of fresh fruit. Originally, I had my heart set on a peach and raspberry smoothie but, uh... I guess peaches aren't in season yet because nobody was selling peaches. I'm talking like, not a single grocery store in the entire town! I did, however, find an abundance of delicious, juicy mangoes, and I figured those would be the perfect substitution. So here is my latest creation, a vegan raspberry mango smoothie with vanilla protein. Yum!

For my smoothie today, I decided to use Sunwarrior's Classic Protein, which is rice protein based and has a lovely creamy vanilla flavor. However,  you can also boost your protein content with the Warrior Blend, made with pea, cranberry, and hemp proteins; or you can try their newest blend, the Classic Plus, which combines proteins from rice, chia, peas, quinoa, and amaranth. All of their blends are packed with tons of healthy vegan protein and taste delicious with any combination of fruits and veggies you want to blend up! I'm personally partial to green smoothies, and I bet a scoop of vanilla protein would taste amazing in there.

This smoothie is super simple and fast to whip up, but it's the perfect way to start your day {or end your workout} with a delicious, protein-packed snack. All you need is mangoes, raspberry, nondairy milk {I personally love vanilla almond-coconut milk!}, and of course a scoop of Sunwarrior Vanilla Protein. Add in some ice, blend until smooth and creamy, and it's ready to enjoy! Be sure to go to Sunwarrior's website to explore all of the different protein blends and flavors they have to offer, as well as awesome products like their Supergreens blend, Immune Shield, Liquid Light, Raw Vitamins, and much more! Happy shopping and happy sipping! 🙂

    Recipe type: Drinks
    Serves: 1
    Ingredients
    • 1 mango, sliced
    • ½ cup raspberries
    • ½ cup nondairy milk
    • 1 scoop Sunwarrior Classic Vanilla Protein
    • handful of ice cubes
    Instructions
    1. Combine the mango, raspberries, milk, and protein, and blend until creamy.
    2. Add in the ice, and blend until smooth and well-blended. I find that if I add the ice and protein powder at the same time, I often get a strange icy texture, which is why I add the ice first and protein second.
    3. Pour into a single cup for a protein-packed breakfast, or split between two cups for a healthy snack to share.
